ALBION, Mich. -- On the nicest day Michigan has seen this spring, the Albion College men's golf team tied for fifth in the fourth MIAA Jamboree of the season. The Britons shot a 307 on the day, with four players competing as individuals.
Senior Justin Kapke tied for seventh overall with a 73 (+3). Next up for Albion was classmate Soti Michalos, carding a 76. Jack Welke's 78 was the next best score for the Britons.
Rounding out the squad were Sam Hibbs and Brendan Iatrow, both of whom shot an 80.
Four Britons competed as individuals in the event -- Josh Ohneck, Connor Krzywiecki, Fischer Jacobs and Zachary Kapuga. Ohneck finished with a score of 78. Krzywiecki, a freshman, finished the day with an 81. Jacobs (83) and Kapuga (93) were the final two for the Albion individuals.
The Brits will be back in action on Saturday for the fifth MIAA Jamboree, hosted by Tuesday's winner, Trine.
