McCulloch earns All-MIAA status at XC Championships

ALMA, Mich. – Megan McCulloch is an All-MIAA runner … again.

On Saturday, McCulloch and the Albion College cross country teams competed in the MIAA Championships. McCulloch placed eighth overall, guiding the women's team to a fifth place finish. The men's team took eighth.

McCulloch ran a 22:07.5. Next for the Britons was senior Samantha Bieth, who took 25th with a time of 23:21.7. Helena Abbott (23:56.9), Fatima Cruz (23:58.6) and Olivia DeGraaf (24:31.4) all placed 30-32-36 for the Britons.

Bianca Wiegerink and Melanie Symons competed as individuals.

For the men, Houston Bowen Jr. led the way, running a 27:12.5., taking 31st.

Connor Clark ran a 28:21.4 and was narrowly followed by Ikenna Achara's 28:24.8. Josiah Graddick and Israel Aquino rounded out the team.

Both Ruark Wicka and Matt Record competed as individuals.

Albion will race at the Division III Regional race on Nov. 12 hosted by Hope College.
