Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

WLAX wins another out west

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – A second-half surge lifted the Albion College women's lacrosse team to a 20-8 win over California Lutheran University. The Britons went on a scoring run in the second half to distance themselves from the hosts.

Albion now sits at 3-1 overall on the young season.

Chrystelle Lopez had another stellar performance for the Britons, scoring four goals and dishing out five assists. Destiny Okon (5 goals) and Aaliyah Eudabe (4 goals) also provided valuable offense for Albion.

Eudabe and Angelina Mendieta caused two turnovers apiece.

After trailing 2-1 early, Albion scored six straight to close out the first quarter. Two from Eudabe, two from Lopez and one goal each from Abby Sheklow and Addie Pastor gave the visitors a 7-2 lead after one.

Okon and Eudabe helped Albion boost their lead by as many as eight goals in the second before Cal Lutheran answered briefly. Albion still held a lead, 11-5, at the half.

Following a CLU goal, the Britons struck for a 7-1 run, hitting the 10-goal threshold for the running clock and keep Albion's perfect California record.

Alexis Robinson (4-1) made 12 saves in the win.

Albion will wrap up their west coast trip on Wednesday with a game at Chapman University. Game time is scheduled for 10 p.m. EST.
