McDonald wins twice, women's tennis falls

HILTON HEAD, SC – Sophomore Savannah McDonald picked up a pair of wins in the Albion College women's tennis team's 6-3 loss to Brevard. The loss wraps up the first half of the South Carolina slate for the Britons.

The Britons held a 2-1 lead after doubles play but came up short on the singles side. At second doubles, the freshman-senior duo of Josie Dunn and Saige Jost earned a gritty 8-6 win. McDonald and Ellie Debo won third doubles in an intense tiebreaker. The pair took the match with a score of 8-7 (10-8).

In singles play, McDonald was the lone Brit victorious, cruising to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Albion will play Buena Vista on Thursday evening. Match time is set for 5:30 p.m.
