FORT WAYNE, Ind. – On Saturday, the Albion College women's wrestling team was back in action at the Warrior Women's Open, hosted by Indiana Tech. At the event, the Britons took on some tough competition in the team's last tune up before Regionals.
Freshman Hannah Palise, ranked seventh in the country, placed fifth at 136. After dropping her opener, Palise went on to win four straight matches, two coming via tech fall.
Lynsey Light placed seventh overall at 101. After dropping her opening bout, she came back to pin her next opponent in 2:23. Following a loss, the freshman responded with a 14-2 tech fall win in the seventh place match.
At 130, Hannah Arledge was 0-2 on the afternoon.
Albion will compete next at Regionals. More information will be released as it gets closer to the event.
