Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

WLAX comes up short in Tennessee

SEWANEE, Tenn. – On their second game of their spring trip, the Albion College women's lacrosse team found themselves at the wrong end of a 13-10 loss to the University of Redlands.

Senior captain Addie Pastor led the Britons with foul goals and controlled seven draws. Angelina Mendieta recorded a career-high, scooping up eight ground balls for the Brits.

Four different Brits scored in the opening period – Pastor, Kyndall Lewis, Aaliyah Eudabe and Logan Hutchinson. Following a tight first quarter, Albion held a 4-3 advantage. Redlands found its offensive rhythm in the second, taking a 6-5 lead into halftime.

The teams traded goals throughout the third, but it was Redlands with a slim 10-8 advantage heading into the final period. Redlands would extend its lead to four goals and that would be enough, as the Brits could not overcome the deficit.

Albion was 15 for 19 on the clear. Redlands was awarded nine free position shots compared to Albion's four.

On Saturday, the Britons conclude their spring trip with a 1 p.m. game against Sewanee.
