12 for #12. Pastor's 12 points lifts WLAX

ALBION – Backed by a 12-point effort from Addie Pastor, the Albion College women's lacrosse team secured a much-needed win over North Central. Seven different players scored in the 23-11 win over the Cardinals.

Pastor, a senior, led the way with 11 goals and one assist. Her 11 goals came on just 14 shots. Sophomore midfielder Kellie Flynn registered a new career-high with four goals in the victory.

Controlling 11 draws, Angelina Mendieta set a career-high. Pastor controlled six as well.

After a tight first half, the Britons broke the game open by outscoring the Cardinals in the third, 8-2. Through the first two quarters, Albion held an 11-7 advantage, but turned up the offense in the new half.

Two quick goals by Pastor were followed by another strike from Flynn. After another score by Pastor, Aaliyah Eudabe scored back to back goals within 60 seconds of each other. The sophomore fished the day with five points – three goals and two assists.

As time ticked down in the third, Olivia Dameron scored to put the Brits above the 10 goal threshold, leading 19-9.

Pastor netted three more early in the fourth to increase the advantage to 22-9. Albion's scoring was wrapped up when freshman Ellen Chown connected on a free position shot for her fourth goal of the season.

Near-perfect on the clear, the Brits completed 10 of 11 attempts.

Nicole Miller (3-3) made three saves in goal through one half. Alina O'Farrell made one while playing the second half in net.

Albion heads to the University of Chicago on Saturday for their last non-conference tune up. The contest will commence at 1 p.m. CST.
