You Brett-cha! Swaton's goal lifts MSOC

Brett Swaton netted the game-winner in the 30th minute.

ALBION – What a way to start your senior year. 

Brett Swaton's goal in the 30th minute was enough as the Albion College men's soccer team defeated Bluffton University, 1-0 on Friday night. A strong Briton defense kept the Beavers at bay, aided by some incredible plays down the stretch. 

Alex Carre-Font played a beautiful ball into the corner to Swaton after a battle for possession near midfield. Swaton beat his defender and launched a left footed strike past the Bluffton keeper to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. 

Freshman goalkeeper Dario Vucic posted a clean sheet in net, recording four saves.

The Britons return to their home pitch on Wednesday when Siena Heights pays a visit. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
