Second half goal sinks men's soccer

ALBION – The lightning delay was only the beginning. 

After a 90 minute delay in pregame, the Albion College men's soccer team dropped a chippy 1-0 decision to Siena Heights University. 15 cards were issued between the two teams, as neither squad could gain momentum. 

Freshman Dario Vujic was stellar in goal, making plenty of brilliant saves to keep the Saints off the scoreboard in the first half. SHU had three good looks in a row, but each time Vujic came up clutch. 

After a scoreless first half, Siena Heights broke the tie in the 56th minute with a goal. The goal came just minutes after another was waved off for offsides. 

Albion was unable to get many good looks down the stretch, as the Saints outshot the Brits, 26-9. Vujic tallied 11 saves in net. 

The Brits will play their first road game of the season on Sunday when they travel to Concordia Chicago. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CST.
