Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Hunt's two goals lift men's soccer past GLCC

The sophomore scored in the 87th minute for the game-winner.

ALBION – Karl Hunt's two-goal night lifted the Albion College men's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Great Lakes Christian College. The sophomore's second goal proved to be the game-winner, coming in the 87th minute. 

Hunt netted his first goal of the evening – and the night – in the 22nd minute off a gorgeous feed from Jasek Zielaskowski. The Briton lead was short-lived, as GLCC netted the equalizer just three minutes later. At the half, the teams were tied at one goal apiece. 

Albion had a few decent looks in the second half, but could not find the go-ahead goal. With time winding down, Grady Lycan saved a ball headed toward the end line and crossed it into Hunt, who finished past the Crusader keeper for the game-winner. 

With 24 seconds on the clock, Quinn Dundas put the nail in the coffin with a beautiful goal rifled from well outside the 18. 

Freshman Dario Vujic totaled three saves in goal. 

The Britons wrap up non conference play with a 5-3-0 record. After an idle weekend, Albion heads to Alma to begin MIAA action on Tuesday. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
