Fitzgerald, Autore PR in Hope Dual

Albion finished just two strokes off from a tough Dutch squad.

JACKSON, Mich. – On the second round of a two-day dual, the Albion College women's golf team came up just short to Hope College, 335-339. For the weekend, the much-improved Britons fell just two strokes shy of the Flying Dutch.

Sabrina Fitzgerald and Kenzie Gillette led the way for the Britons, both recording 82s on the afternoon. The mark was a new personal best for Fitzgerald. Fellow senior Emily Abramczyk was next for Albion, carding an 86.

Rounding out the team was sophomore Helen Buk (89) and Taylore Wilson (95).

Competing as individuals, Zoe Autore's 92 was a new career-low for the sophomore. Miranda McKee shot a 100 and RIley McKinney finished with a 114.

The Britons return to action on Sep. 8 at the Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational, held at the Medalist Golf Club.
