Women's tennis concludes fall matches undefeated

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Albion College women's tennis team wrapped up their fall matches undefeated, claiming a 7-0 victory over Manchester on Wednesday. Albion made quick work of the host Spartans to win their third straight match. 

At first doubles, Abbie Hubbard and Savannah McDonald picked up their first doubles win of the fall with a 6-1 victory. Josie Dunn and Molly Dunn worked their way to a 6-1 win at second doubles to help Albion claim the doubles point. 

Hubbard, a sophomore, won a 6-0, 7-5 match at first singles. Josie Dunn improved to 2-1 this fall in singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 decision at singles, followed by a 6-0, 6-0 win from McDonald. Sophomore Karina Nigg finished singles play this fall 3-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win in her match. At fifth singles, freshman Lynsey Brearley also improved to 3-0 this fall, winning her match by a 6-0, 6-0 margin. 

On Saturday, the Britons wrap up fall with a doubles tournament, welcoming Olivet and Alma. Matches at Albion will commence at 9 a.m.
