ADRIAN, Mich. -- After competing in the Adrian College Duals a day ago,the Albion College women's wrestling team jumped right back into action at the Adrian Invitational, earning a 22-place finish in the competitive 40-team field.
Gabby Motz highlighted the day for the Brits, earning a second-place finish at 110. Motz earned three-straight technical fall wins (0:53, 2:43, 2:13) to reach the first-place tilt.
Paris Ford earned nine points for Albion with a fourth-place finish at 160, adding three more wins to her ledger to open her career over the weekend. Ford's classmate,
Heaven Cole, picked up a pair of wins, pinning her opposition in both bouts, to earn a sixth-place finish at 207.
First-year talent
Naomi Grummett earned two wins at 138, including one tech fall (4:08). Junior
Abby Geairn and freshman
Brooklyn Sage each added one victory at 124 and 160, respectively.
