Women's lacrosse opens 2025 victorious

ADRIAN, Mich. – In its 2025 debut, the Albion College women's lacrosse team started the year with a 10-7 victory over Siena Heights University. Albion fired off a four-goal run in the first half and never looked back from the hosts.

The offense ran through seniors Kellie Flynn and Aaliyah Eudabe, who each finished with three goals and one assist. Albion got out to a 2-0 lead, thanks to goals from Flynn and Logan Hutchinson. After the Saints knotted the score, Ellen Chown's man-up goal gave the Britons the lead for good. In the waning seconds of the opening period, Flynn netted her second of the evening for a 4-2 lead.

Chown and Flynn scored Albion's only goals in the second quarter, taking a 6-3 lead into halftime. Out of the break, Kyndall Lewis ignited the scoring before all three of Eudabe's goals came in the second half.

Junior goalie Nicole Miller tallied seven saves for the win. In front of Miller, the Briton defense was solid, led by Darby Conerly's career-best three caused turnovers. Lewis and McKenna Shearer each caused two, while Conerly led the way with three ground balls. Julia Ames controlled four draws to lead all players.

As a team, the Britons were 16 of 20 on the clear. Albion held the advantage in shots and ground balls.

Next Monday, the Brits commence their trip out west with a 7 p.m. PST game against Occidental.
