Men's basketball falls in MIAA Quarterfinals

OLIVET, Mich. – A large lead slipped away from the Albion College men's basketball team, falling to Olivet in the MIAA Quarterfinals, 76-68. The host Comets used a thunderous second half to eliminate the Britons from the conference tournament. 

Albion got out of the gates quickly, thanks to a 22-6 run. Olivet slowly worked to chip away at the Briton lead, cutting the score to 36-28 at halftime in favor of the visitors. 

The Comets held all of the momentum in the second half. Once the hosts took the lead, they maintained the lead for good, using a home crown to their advantage. 

Sophomore Dwayne Ray led the Brits with 14 points. AJ Barden added 11, while BJ Hunter and Michael Umeh each scored 10. Jaylen Flaniken's nine rebounds led Albion in the evening. 

Albion concludes the season with a 10-16 overall record.
