Baseball drops first contest of 2025

DEMOREST, Ga. – Facing one of their toughest opponents this spring trip, the Albion College baseball team fell to Piedmont, 13-2. 

Albion's only two runs came in the top of the first. Ryker Mazey's hot start continued when the senior singled and moved to third on an eventual error. Kris Stojanovski drove in Mazey with a single, then stole second and moved to third on a second Piedmont error. Braeden Emery lifted a sac fly to drive home Stojanovski for a 2-0 lead. 

Piedmont would score 13 unanswered runs, aided by seven walks from the Briton pitching staff.

The Brits finished with six hits, as Evan Schuster went 2 for 3.

Albion completes its Georgia portion of the spring trip tomorrow with a 10 a.m. first pitch against Bridgewater.
