Late goals hurt WLAX in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A few late goals hurt the Albion College women's lacrosse team in a 16-13 loss to Cal Lutheran. Freshman Anna Huard had a career evening on the west coast, leading the Britons with three goals and one assist. 

Seniors Kyndall Lewis and Aaliyah Eudabe both recorded hat tricks in the contest. Despite the Britons making a valiant comeback in the third quarter, the hosts were able to break away from Albion in the final period.

Huard and Natalie Sweetland paced Albion's defense, each causing two turnovers. Lewis's four ground balls led the Brits.

Albion held the edge in shots, but CLU was able to capitalize on its opportunities.

The Britons wrap up their west coast slate on Thursday against Chapman. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST.
