Softball swept by Knights

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Albion College softball team was swept by Calvin University on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights won the first game by a 5-0 margin before a 5-2 victory in the second game. 

The story was all Calvin in game one, limiting Albion to just one hit. Albion's lone hit came off the bat of Rachel Horecki. As a team, the Brits struck out nine times in the opener. 

In the second game, the Britons committed four errors, as Calvin scored three unearned runs. Sophomore Kayla Cole was 2 for 2 in the game, while Rachel Horecki and Lilly Zaskowski both drove in runs for the Brits. 

Albion will now head to Adrian on Friday for games beginning at 1 and 3 p.m.
