Women's golf wins first invitational since 2019

JACKSON, Mich. – For the first time since 2019, the Albion College women's golf team won a tournament outright, taking the Cascades Clash with a score of 328.

Freshman Aubrie Schaibly was the medalist, shooting a personal best 79 to lead all players. Sophomore Taylore Wilson was next for the Britons, carding a new PR of 81. Both Zoe Autore and Marissa Genske shot an 84, registering new PRs for both.

Miranda McKee shot an 88 to round out the team. Riley McKinney (97) and Gabriella Davis (98) competed as individuals.

On the men's side, the Britons shot a 306 and finished third overall. This was the men's team's final tune-up before the MIAA Finale next week. Three Albion players in the lineup shot a 76 – Ryan Knitter, Mathew Sypniewski and Nicholas Giannone. The 76 is a new PR for Sypniewski and ties one for Giannone. Also competing in the lineup was Bradley Davis (78) and Camden Paul (80).

Junior Vaughn Rogers shot a personal best, leading Albion with a 72 as an individual. Blake Wagner (76) and Brayden Goss (87) also competed as individuals.
