FINAL RESULTS
OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. — The Albion women's golf team completed its season, finishing fifth at the MIAA Finale hosted by Adrian at Legacy Golf Club shooting a total score of 643, including a 322 in the final round.
St. Mary's bested the field with a two-day total of 606. The Britons finished fourth in the overall MIAA standings, compiling team scoring averages from the conference's four jamborees in the fall and two-round finale. It was their best placement in the standings since 2018 when they finished third.
Anna Schaibly led the way for the Britons during the weekend finishing in sixth place shooting scores of 76 and 77 (153).
Taylore Wilson (80, 84—164) and Payton LaRowe (85, 80—165) had strong showings for the Britons as well, finishing in 22nd and 23rd.Â
Aubrie Schaibly (85, 81—166) and Marissa Genske (80, 87—167) rounded out the Albion scorers.
Individual Julia Sambaer tied for the second best score of any competitor on the second day with a career-low 73, while Rowan Bluhm finished with an 85.
The Schaibly sisters each earned a spot on the All-MIAA team, with Anna earning first team honors while Aubrie notched second team recognition.
Anna became Albion's first first-teamer since Elizabeth Kreger in 2006. It was also the first time two or more Britons had been selected to the all-conference team since 2018.
