Biography
2025 | FRESHMAN
- Competed in eight events during the fall season with a scoring average of 86.5
- Posted an 87 at the Marshall Masters finishing tied for 11th(10/16)
- Posted an 83 at the MIAA Jamboree #2 (9/30)
- Shot an 86 at the MIAA Jamboree #1 (9/22)
- Shot an 86 in round 1, and an 84 in round 2 at the IWU Fall Classic (9/14)
- Shot a 92 in round 1 and a 90 in round 2 at the Kyle Campbell Memorial (9/5)
- Made her collegiate debut at the Trine Kick-off Classic while placing 22nd, shooting an 89 (8/25)
HIGH SCHOOL
- Earned four letters in golf at Lansing Catholic High School for coaches Mary Fineis and Kim Johnson
- Helped the Cougars to a state title in 2023, state runner-up in 2021, third place in 2022 and fourth place in 2024
- The Cougars also won four CAAC White titles and two regional championships (2021 and 2023)
- Team captain as a junior and senior
- Received All-Area recognition all four years and was named first-team all-state in 2024
- Earned two Team Spirit awards and two St. Sebastian awards
- Won the Callaway Meijer Scholarship
- Also lettered in track & field
- Member of the National Honors Society, was an ambassador and a Rodzinka leader
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Tim and Melissa Sambaer
- Has two older brothers, Thomas and Adam
- Majoring in pre-nursing
- Aspires to become a nurse
- Favorite athletes are Bryson DeChambeau and Nelly Korda
- Competed in the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) Women's Championship in the summer of 2025
- Chose Albion, "because of the strong pre-medical program and the culture of the golf team"
- Lists her parents, Tim and Melissa, as her biggest influences "because they inspire me to push myself to be better and be kind to others"
- Born on March 21, 2007 in Lansing, Mich.
