OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- A traditional Arthur Hills-designed golf course is known for its natural landscape and stunning views.
The play of the Albion women's golf team at Lourdes' Grey Wolves Invitational matched the beauty of Legacy Golf Club, as they won the tournament by one stroke over UM-Dearborn in a field of 15 teams with a total of 333 strokes.
Under sunny conditions with very little wind,
Anna Schaibly and
Marissa Genske led the way for the Britons by each shooting an 81 that tied for sixth.
Aubrie Schaibly tied for 11th with an 83, while
Taylore Wilson carded an 88 and a top-20 finish.
Payton LaRowe notched a 91 to round out the Albion competitors.
Playing a course with five lakes, including the area's only island green on hole No. 8, all five golfers hit the putting surface on the hole.
Genske was named to the all-tournament team for her performance.
