Logan Grwinski was named the MIAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
Grwinski helped keep Albion's offense rolling against the Beavers to earn the first MIAA weekly honor of his career. The senior opened the scoring for the Brits with a 33-yard kick in the first quarter. He added a 40-yard boot to close the opening quarter before nailing a 30-yard kick right before halftime.
The Niles, Michigan, native's biggest kick of the game came with six seconds left on the clock. With Albion, down 32-29, Grwinski calmly drilled a 29-yard field goal to keep the Britons alive and force the game into overtime.
Grwinksi finished the game 3-for-4 on PAT attempts and registered six touchbacks on kickoff duty.
Grwinski and the Britons are back in action on Saturday, September 20, for their home opener against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at Sprankle-Sprandel Stadium. Kick-off is set for 12 pm.
