GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Albion College women's golf team jumped back into conference action on Monday afternoon at the first MIAA Jamboree of the fall season, ending the round tied for 6th after carding a 329 (+41) as a team.
Aubrie Schaibly and
Payton LaRowe led the way for the Britons on the challenging challenging 5,621-yard par-72 course at Thornapple Pointe. Schaibly earned her first top-five finish of the season with a score of 77(+5). The sophomore registered a pair of birdies, including on the 419-yard, par-5 seventh hole.
LaRowe checked in two spots behind Schaibly in seventh after carding a new career-low of 78 (+6).
Taylore Wilson earned a spot in the top-30 after shooting an 85 (+13).
Anna Schaibly and
Marissa Genske rounded out Albion's scorers with identical cards of 89 (+17).
Julia Sambaer competed as an individual and shot an 86 (+14), which was good for 33rd on the leaderboard.
