MANCHESTER, Ind. -- The Albion College women's tennis team began its 2025–26 campaign on a high note, defeating Manchester University 6–1 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Britons set the tone early by securing the doubles point before rolling through the singles lineup to secure the win. Albion won five of the six singles matches, with the loss coming in a hard-fought three-set affair.
Mackenzie Fox put together a valiant comeback with a 6-3 win in the second set, but couldn't fend off Manchester's Alivia Paul, who took the third frame, 11-9.
At first singles,
Paityn Chant downed the Spartans' Grace Keener, 6-3, 6-3.
Abbie Hubbard followed Chant's lead at third singles, with a sweeping 6-0, 6-0 win. Albion cruised from there, as
Ada Feasby,
Lynsey Brearley, and
Rosy Zuun all won to seal the win for the Brits.
