RESULTS
EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Casey Adcock's victory in the 1,650 freestyle paced the way for the Albion women's swimming & diving team in their tri-meet with Aquinas and Saginaw Valley State, losing to both squads.
Swimming at East Grand Rapids High School – the home pool for host Aquinas – the freshman clocked in at 18:26.32, 42 seconds faster than her next closest competitor.
She also placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.29).
Wen Wadsworth-Curcuru also enjoyed a spectacular day, sweeping both 1 and 3-meter diving competitions. The junior scored a 284.55 in 1-meter and 272-15 in 3-meter.
Additionally,
Mia Carone and
Alyssa Schafer performed well on the boards. Carone was runner-up in 1-meter (244.75) and third in 3-meter (210.05), while Schafer placed fourth in both events (216.50 and 207.75, respectively).
McKinley Levandoski took third in the 100 butterfly (1:05.45), while
Emily Evers placed sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.31) competing alongside Adcock.
Leah Gray was Albion's best finisher in the 200 freestyle (2:18.13) and 500 freestyle (5:58.87).
Lilly Marvin topped the Britons in the 100 freestyle (1:09.26), and Evers had the top time for Albion in the 100 backstroke (1:10.58).

The Britons will head to Calvin for the MIAA Invitational on Saturday, January 24 at 11:30 a.m. as their final meet before the MIAA Championships from February 18-21.
