Britons Drop Second Game in Nashville to Sewanee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Albion men's lacrosse team ended their Nashville trip 0-2, as they dropped to Sewanee, 15-9, at The Ensworth School.

On Saturday, the Britons lost to Rhodes as part of their two-game showcase in the Music City Classic.

Albion drew first blook with a Cal Stearns goal three minutes in, but the Tigers scored six minutes later to tie up the contest where it would remain at the end of the first.

The Britons capitalized on a man up opportunity in the second from Logan Mozingo, and Sewanee once again knotted the game up two minutes later. Albion would cash in on another Stearns goal and Mozingo score but allowed a Tiger goal to sit at a 4-3 advantage into the locker room.

Albion went up by three in the third before allowing three consecutive Tiger scores. Mozingo scored again, but Sewanee snuck one in the net with 10 seconds left in the period to tie it up at 7-7.

The Tigers took the lead for good when they opened the fourth with three straight goals and scored five of the game's final seven goals.

Four Britons scored twice each, while Luke Szymanski made 16 saves in net. Additionally, Pat Dyer scored his first career collegiate goal when he found twine in the third.
