ALBION, Mich. — The Albion women's lacrosse team lost, 22-9, to Kalamazoo in their season finale.
The Hornets posted the first two goals of the game before
Logan Hutchinson scored off a pass from
Anna Huard. Kalamazoo proceeded to notch the next three, but Hutchinson struck again with 7:36 left in the first to make it 5-2.
However, the Hornets capped off the quarter with six consecutive scores to make it 11-2.
Kalamazoo got the first three scores of the second before Huard found twine with 2:47 remaining to make it 14-3 where the score would stay at the half.
Huard and Hutchinson got two quick scores to open the third.
Abbey Scott and
Lauren Thomas also notched goals in the frame as the Hornets held a 19-7 advantage at the end of the period.
Abbey Scott and Thomas capped off Albion's scoring in the fourth.
Hutchinson had a hat trick, while Thomas, Huard and
Abbey Scott each scored twice. As a team, Albion forced 21 Hornet turnovers but were outshot 34-24.
