Emily Wilcox Named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Communications

Emily Wilcox has been named Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Communications. Her first day is slated for July 13.

Wilcox arrives in Albion from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind., where she served as a student worker in the athletic communications department for two years. During her time with the Sycamores, she assisted in statting at sporting events, postgame recaps, game notes and with photography/videography.  

Prior to transferring to Indiana State, Wilcox attended Rose Hulman Institute of Technology also in Terre Haute where she was a student intern in the sports information office from 2022-24. Her duties included public address announcing, maintaining athletic records and archives and creating gameday and postgame graphics.

Additionally, Wilcox served as a student intern in Rose-Hulman's operations department as well as an intermural supervisor.

"We are really excited to have Emily join our department," director of athletics Jennifer Rushton said. "Emily displayed great enthusiasm during the interview process and without question can handle the many demands of this position. I have no doubt she will be a huge asset to Albion athletics, our staff and student-athletes."

A four-year member of the Fightin' Engineers volleyball team from 2018-21, Wilcox was a member of the 2018 squad that won the HCAC Tournament championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. She was also a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority as well as the Society of Women Engineers.

The Colorado Springs, Colo., native graduated from St. Mary's High School in 2018 and was a three-sport athlete for the Pirates. Wilcox was named first-team all-area and all-league in volleyball and won a CHSAA state championship in basketball as a senior.

Wilcox earned a bachelor's in mathematics with minors in sport management and entrepreneurial studies from Indiana State in 2025. She is currently pursuing her master's in sport management from ISU and is slated to complete her degree this December.

I look forward to contributing to Albion's tradition of excellence and helping connect the college, its alumni and its supporters with the success of our athletic programs."
