Marshall, Mich. - The Albion Women's Golf Team placed 2nd in the MIAA Jamboree #1 today. The Britons shot +37 on the day, coming in seven shots behind the leader. This is the Britons best finish in the MIAA Jamboree since 2018.

Marissa Genske led the Britons tying for second in the tournament, shooting +6 on the day, just two strokes behind the leader. Payton LaRowe also finished in the top 10, shooting +8 on the day.

"I'm very proud of how our team carried themselves. We did not have our best stuff today but their maturity and commitment kept us in it. They made the most out of every shot in front of them, didn't panic, stayed focused, and played for each other." said Head Coach Jake Maas when asked about his teams performance today.

The Britons return to the course on Saturday September 19th as they travel to Normal, IL to compete in the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic.
