Franklin, Ind. - The Britons end in a draw with the Grizzlies on Friday Night in their first of two games of the weekend.
The first half was a defensive battle. The Britons had just five shots in the opening 45, however they did have three of those on goal. The Britons defense held strong as they allowed just three shots, with none of them being on goal.
The Britons offense came out of the half aggressive, taking 14 shots in the final half, with seven of them being on goal. The defense continued to hold strong as they once again only allowed three shots, with just one of those being saved by goalie
Tom Veresh. The Britons also took 14 corner kicks in the second half, getting so close to scoring, but could just never find the back of the net.
Huib Alberts and
Ivan Murillo both three shots, while
Christian Orpineda,
Lidetu Eyssen, and
Jasek Zielaskowski all had two shots. Seven other Britons also took shots, dispersing their offensive efforts across 12 different players.
The Britons return to action on Sunday September 6th as they travel to Richmond, IN to take on the Quakers of Earlham at 12PM.
