Tyler Kimbrell

2019-2020: Named to the All-MIAA team for the fourth time...finished the 2020 MIAA Championships as a two time first place finisher in both the 100 Yard and 200 Yard Breast (55.63/2:02.75).

2018-2019: At the MIAA Championship Achieved all-MIAA distinction for the third time, winning the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.

2017-2018: At the MIAA Championship Achieved all-MIAA distinction for the second time, winning the 100 and 200 breaststroke events...Added a gold medal with the 200 medley relay...Finished eighth in the 200 individual medley.

2016-2017: At the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship Earned his place on the all-MIAA team with individual titles in the 100 (56.43, school record and NCAA B cut time) and 200 (2:05.77) breaststroke events...Achieved a 25.47 split as part of the winning 200 medley relay team...Contributed to Albion's team score with an eighth place finish in the 200 individual medley. Gained an honorable mention All-America award as part of the 200 medley relay team that finished 13th 2017 NCAA D-III Championship.

Prior to Albion: A cum laude graduate who was inducted into the National Honor Society and participated in the language club.

Personal: An accounting major who is a member of Albion's Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management...Lists golf, photography, hiking, camping, hunting and fishing as hobbies…Son of Mark and Kim Kimbrell.

Named the Junior Male Athlete of the Year by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was listed on the list of College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-Americans and Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll for 2018-2019...Achieved honorable mention All-America distinction with a 16th place finish in the 200-yard medley relay in 2019 and a 12th place finish in the 200 breaststroke and with the 400 medley relay team in 2018...Named the Sophomore Student-Athlete of the Year by SAAC...Achieved distinction as a Scholar All-American (College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America) for 2017-2018.
