Kyle Avaloy enters his second season as offensive line coach at Albion in 2025.

In 2024, Avaloy's unit blocked for the No. 5 passing attack in Division III with an average of 320.4 yards per game and allowed just 13 sacks on the year. Additionally, he mentored Mitchell Abrams to second-team All-MIAA honors after leading an offensive line that helped pave the way for a rushing attack that piled up nearly 1,300 yards.

Avaloy came to Albion after a one-year stint at Rockford University as offensive line coach/co-special teams coordinator in 2023.

Before Rockford, Avaloy spent three seasons from 2019-21 as the defensive line coach at the University of Dubuque. The Spartans went 14-7 with Avaloy on staff, including posting a winning record in all three seasons. In 2019, he guided Dubuque's defense to a 25-sack season and allowed just 295.8 yards per game which was top 40 in Division III while mentoring the program's all-time sack leader Marshawn Crowder.

In addition to his defensive line coach duties, Avaloy also served as Dubuque's player personnel, travel coordinator and video coordinator.

Avaloy began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Lincoln Way Central High School in New Lenox, Ill. He spent the 2017 season as the team's head sophomore offensive coordinator and assistant varsity offensive coordinator. He returned to the staff in 2022 where he was the Knights' running backs coach and run game coordinator.

A 2016 graduate of Illinois State University with a degree in recreation management with an emphasis in sports management, Avaloy was a three-year starter at left guard for the Redbirds and appeared in 44 games from 2013-16. The Redbirds made the NCAA FCS Division I playoffs in each of his final three seasons, including a championship game appearance against North Dakota State in 2014. That year, Avaloy was an instrumental piece of an offensive line that paved the way for first-team All-American Marshaun Coprich, who led the FCS in rushing yards.

He also earned All-Missouri Valley Football Conference second-team honors in 2015.

Avaloy had an extensive background for working within the community while attending Illinois State and was selected as a nominee for the Allstate Good Works Team. It is a select group of student-athletes who balance academics and athletics while remaining committed to helping others and bettering their communities. To meet the criteria set forth by Allstate and the AFCA, each player must be actively involved with a charitable organization or service group while maintaining a strong academic standing.

After his stellar collegiate career, Avaloy attended rookie minicamps with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears. He then transitioned to the Arena Football League, where he played with the Maine Mammoths and Philadelphia Souls from 2018-19.

Avaloy attended Glenbard South High School outside Chicago, where he was a three-year starter for the Raiders and graduated in 2012. He did not allow a sack as a senior and helped the team to a conference title and an appearance in the IHSA Class 6A playoffs. Avaloy was an All-Area selection and was tabbed as the top player in the Metro Suburban Conference while being selected to play in the ICA/Shrine All-Star Game at Illinois Wesleyan. He was also a standout in basketball and track & field.

Avaloy earned his master's degree in sports administration from Dubuque in 2021.
