Son of Doug and Annemarie Periard
Has an older sister, Grace
Uncle, Ed "Fast Eddie" Periard, played football at Nebraska, helping the Cornhuskers win the 1970 national championship as a walk-on middle guard who racked up 79 tackles and earned first-team All-Big Eight honors that season. He passed away in a car accident in 1993 and was elected into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 2010. The field at his alma mater, Birch Run High School, is named in his honor
Uncles, Tim and Phil Periard, both played football at Central Michigan
Aunt, Angela Petroskey, played volleyball at Trine
Cousin, Tyler Periard, played football at Alma and was a two-time All-MIAA selection
