2022: After picking up 10 groundballs and going 79% at the x, he was named MIAA defensive player of the week on February 14th. He was also named MIAA player of the week on March 28th and April 25. He appeared in all 20 games this season, starting 18 of them. He finished the season going 53% at the X (222-420) while picking up 172 groundballs. He also added 15 caused turnovers, scored 23 goals, and added 18 assists. He was also named first team All-MIAA.Â
2021: In his first game of the season, he scooped up 10 groundballs, caused 1 turnover and scored 1 goal...Had a 2 goal, 1 assist performance against both Calvin and Alma College.
2020:Â Played in four games, starting one...Scored five goals and added eight assists...Had a four goal, four assist game against Wooster (2/8/20)
2019: An all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team pick at face-off specialist...Albion's leader with 91 groundballs (eighth-most in a season at Albion)...Finished sixth on the team in scoring with 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists)...Named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week after winning the face-off 73 percent of the time (36-of-49) and collecting 17 groundballs as Albion defeated Trine University and Alma College...Scored four goals in the regular season finale vs. Adrian.
A letterwinner in lacrosse (four years), cross country (two years) and swimming (one year) at Lakeview High School...A three-time all-conference, all-city and team MVP award winner who was a third team all-state pick and SWMLC Player Of The Year as a senior...BJ Sports Bandits, based in Kalamazoo, was his club team.
Personal: Chose Albion because he follows four siblings, including Tess, a swimmer, and Jon, a cross country and track runner, at the college and because Albion would push him on the field and more importantly, in the classroom...Lists running, reading, and concerts as hobbies and politics, cars, and traveling as interests... A communications studies major who will concentrate in the education program as well as be a member of the Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service...Son of Jim and Betsy Meitz Haadsma.
