- Earned four letters in tennis at Byron Center High School for coach Andy Ely
- Helped the Bulldogs to a 65-14-4 record in his four years, including a 94-26 individual mark, two OK Green conference championships (2024-25) and two MHSAA regional titles (2024-25) along with a state runner-up finish as a senior
- Two-time All-OK Green selection and two-time regional champion (2022, 2024)
- Three-time MHSAA state qualifier (2023-25) as an individual
- OK Conference Scholar Athlete and Academic All-State honoree as a senior
- Team captain as a senior
- Also lettered in hockey for two years, where he was named Academic All-State as a senior, and played baseball
- Graduated magna cum laude
