Destiny Okon

2022: She started in 16 games this season and was named first team All-MIAA. She finshed the season with 54 goals, 9 assists, 34 groundballs, 14 caused turnovers, and 70 draw controls. She set her season highs with 7 goals, 2 assists, and 9 draw controls against Alma. She also had 3 caused turnovers against Hope and picked up 10 groundballs against North Central. 
2021: scored 2 goals in season opener at Trine...4 ground balls at Trine (2/21)...caused 2 turnovers at Trine (2/21)...recorded 1 goal and 2 assists for a total of 3 points against Kalamazoo. Picked up 2 ground balls and 4 draw controls in the same game. (3/3)...Recorded 3 goals, 3 ground balls, 6 draw controls, and 1 caused turnover against Hope (3/6)...scored 3 goals, picked up 5 ground balls, 5 draw controls, and 3 caused turnovers at Adrian (3/9)...During the win against Calvin, scored 4 goals, picked up 1 ground ball, had 4 draw controls, and caused 1 turnover (3/13)...Recorded 5 goals, 1 assist, 6 draw controls, and caused 4 turnovers in during the win against St. Mary's (3/21)...Scored 1 goal, 1 assist, picked up 2 ground balls, 1 draw control, and caused 4 turnovers against Trine (3/24)...Recorded season high 6 goals, 2 assists, and a season-high 11 draw controls against Kalamazoo (3/30)...scored 4 goals a piece against Kalamazoo and Saint Mary's (4/24 & 4/28). Received All-MIAA honors. 

2020: Started in all 6 games...scored 11 goals and handed out 2 assists. Was names MIAA Defensive Player of the Week Febuary 24th. 

2019: An all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association second team pick in the midfield...A starter in 18 games, she led the team by controlling the draw 69 times, finished second on the team by causing 25 turnovers and finished fourth on the team with 35 goals and 39 points...Scored four goals in the victory over MIAA rival Alma...Scored three goals in each of the MIAA Tournament games (against Calvin and Hope)...Named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on April 22 after causing six turnovers, collecting eight groundballs and controlling 10 draws in Briton victories over Kalamazoo and Hope.

Personal: A kinesiology major and sociology minor...Daughter of Maria Chong and Juan Okon.
