HILLSDALE, Mich. - Ryan Gunderson, Ty Lattimore, and Scott Venettis - athletes who all hail from metro Detroit - lifted the Albion College men's swimming & diving team to a 59-52 victory over the Division II team from the University of Findlay Friday night.

Gunderson touched the wall first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events, Lattimore won the diving events, and Venettis swam to victory in the 200 breaststroke and second place in the 200 individual medley.

Gunderson and Venettis also swam legs on the Britons' winning 200 medley relay team. Andrew Blank (Bloomfield Hills/Seaholm) and Stephen Congdon (Fenton/Fenton) completed the relay team.

In individual events, Albion also picked up second place performances from Peter Lundholm (Ann Arbor/Ann Arbor Pioneer) in the 200 and 500 freestyles and Michael Sofia (Beverly Hills/Groves) in the 1,000 freestyle.
