FRIDAY RESULTS
HOLLAND, Mich. — Tyler Deubel and
Jeremy Romero each competed in A finals on Day 3 at the MIAA Championships.
Deubel took eighth in the 400 IM (4:18.56), while Romero — who competed against his twin brother, Justin, from Hope — was sixth in the 3-meter dive (354.20) in what was the final competition of his collegiate career.
The Britons sat fourth (273 points), with Hope leading (828.5).
Three swimmers qualified for the B final of the 100 breaststroke.
Caleb Galvan (1:06.86),
Spencer Lukasik (1:07.13) and
Brody Roberts (1:12.31) took fourth, fifth and eighth, respectively.
Jalen Hung and Steven Maytas each competed in the 100 butterfly's B final. Hung (53.95) placed fifth, and Maytas was eighth (55.84).
Galvan was third in the B final of the 400 IM (4:47.33), and
Harper Prutch (1:46.69) was fourth in the 200 freestyle's B final to round out the Briton individuals who competed in the evening session.
The quartet of Prutch, Galvan, Hung and Roberts ended the 200 medley relay in (1:42.00).
Competing in the morning prelims,
Cam Thompson placed 11
th in the 3-meter competition (257.45).
Prior to the beginning of the finals, seniors from each school were recognized on the pool deck.
