Brian Fiorillo and Anna Hargrove won individual events and the men's 400 freestyle relay team turned in a first-place performance as Albion College completed a successful trip to the Carthage College Swimming Classic.
Fiorillo turned in a winning time of 20.96 seconds in the men's 50-yard freestyle. He also joined Austin Bateman, Josh Boren and Brad Melpolder for the win in the free relay. The Britons' winning time was 3:10.11.
Hargrove completed the 100 backstroke in 58.86 seconds to win the event by nearly a second. Hargrove also took fourth in the women's 50 free, finishing the final in 25.01 seconds.
"This was a good weekend and we have a lot to build on," Albion first-year coach Jake Taber said.
Julie Okorn had a tough double Saturday, finishing fourth in the 1,650 freestyle and seventh in the 400 individual medley.
Garret Bosworth was fourth in the men's IM (4:20.44), and Boren was fourth in the men's 100 butterfly (53.72 seconds).
Laura Steavenson earned fifth place in the women's 200 freestyle (2:01.45) and Tom Parsons was fifth in the men's 100 backstroke (54.68 seconds).
