Box Score ALBION – Albion College managed three corner kicks and two shots despite holding its share of possession in a 1-0 setback to Olivet College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer action at Alumni Field.
Sarah Bevier and Rachel Reem were credited with the Britons' shots. Bevier's attempt was placed on goal.
Starting goalkeeper Madeline Hutchison made eight saves before leaving the contest with an injury in the 64th minute. Olivet tested Victoria Della Pia immediately and the Comets' second shot produced the only goal of the contest. Jordyn MacKool scored her first goal of the season with about 25 minutes to play.
Albion will play its third league match of the week when it returns to Alumni Field at 12 p.m. Saturday to challenge Hope College.
