ALBION, Mich. – Albion College split the singles matches against Division II rival Hillsdale College, but it could not overcome the deficit after doubles in a 5-4 loss.

Margaux Kabodian and Leah Saurman scored an impressive 8-0 win for Albion at No. 3 doubles, but Hillsdale won the two matches at the top of the lineup.

Irene Chen won the No. 2 singles match in three sets and Heather Vogt and Marissa Messenger won their contests in straight sets.

Albion's next match is March 11 when it meets Haverford during spring break action in Florida.
