Britons Ace First MIAA Challenge

ALBION, Mich. - The Albion College women's tennis team easily passed its first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association test as it won five singles matches in straight sets and coasted to an 8-1 victory over Calvin College.

Irene Chen turned in the most impressive result. She didn't lose a game in winning the No. 2 singles contest.

Marissa Cloutier, Katie Blumberg, Heather Vogt, and Leah Saurman also won their matches in straight sets.

Albion won all three doubles contests, as well. The No. 1 team of Chen and Cloutier earned an 8-1 victory.

Albion plays another league rival at home Friday when Alma College visits for a 4 p.m. match.
