Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Lindsey Lubanski, one of the senior captains on the Albion College women's soccer team, wanted to experience the feeling of walking off the field victorious. It was a feeling she had not enjoyed since her first-year as a Briton.
Lubanski did her part, placing a first-half free kick in the net for the Britons' first goal, but it was a first-year player, Lauren Cross, who contributed the game-winning goal in Albion's 2-1 victory over the College of Mount Saint Joseph at Alumni Field. It was Albion's first victory since Oct. 19, 2010.
Cross' goal in the 66th minute gave Albion a 2-0 lead. Mackenzie Money scored for the College of Mount Saint Joseph with 18 ½ minutes left in regulation.
Albion controlled possession for the majority of the contest and Lubanski was credited with six shots.
