Box Score BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. – Albion College tuned up for its Sept. 9 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer opener with a 5-0 victory over Andrews University.
Albion has won consecutive contests for the first time since early October 2010. It was the Britons' most lopsided victory since an 8-0 result over Trine University on Oct. 28, 2009. Briton goalkeepers Mackenzie Hurlburt and Cameron Schmidt each played a half and they combined for the first shutout victory since a 4-0 result over Trine on Oct. 19, 2010.
Albion dominated the contest, finishing the day with a 30-1 advantage in shots. Kristine Graham, Danielle Sarnecky, and Morgan Button scored first half goals. Lindsey Lubanski and Amanda Quasunella added second half scores.
