GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Andrew Mattson won the 400-yard individual medley and finished second in the 1,650 freestyle and he helped Albion finish second in the 800 freestyle relay on the second day of competition in the Calvin College Invitational.

Albion also scored a first place finish as Brad Melpolder, Austin Bateman, Derek Bosko, and Brian Fiorillo combined to win the 400 freestyle relay, and Fiorillo and Bosko were the first two swimmers to complete the 100 freestyle.

Albion returns home Jan. 18 to dive into the Dean Aquatic Center against Hope College.
