HOLLAND, Mich. – Anna Hargrove was part of four relays to finish in the top three as Albion College swimmers competed against their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals in a non-scored meet.
Hargrove was second in the lineup as Albion finished as the runner-up in the 200-yard butterfly. Joined by Abigail Slager, Julia DiFiore and Sarah Kilbride, the Britons finished in 1:52.50, six-tenths of a second behind Kalamazoo College.
Kilbride, Hargrove, Slager, and Kylene Slocum gained a runner-up finish in the 400 medley with a time of 4:21.61.
Hargrove, Slocum, Jourden Burke and Lauren Pawelec were third in the 200 medley (1:53.37), and DiFiore, Slager, Madison Vaive and Hargrove were third in the 200 backstroke (1:55.29).
Albion also achieved third place performances in the 200 breaststroke with Slocum, Claire Wittkowski, Kilbride and Hailey Sambor, and the 1,500 freestyle with Laura Steavenson, Haley DeFeyter, and Kaileigh Krupp.
Albion dives into dual meets next Saturday (Oct. 25) at Calvin.
