Box Score ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College women's soccer coach Eric Scott thought his team would eventually score if it kept the pressure on Trine University Tuesday afternoon.
Scott's faith was rewarded in the second overtime period as first-year forward Jenna Urso got behind the defense after receiving a pass from sophomore Domenique Sarnecky. Urso buried the chance for her 11th goal of the season as the Britons escaped with a 1-0 result.
"Trine is a very organized team and they have made it difficult to score all year," Scott said. "Domenique and Jenna understand each other very well and that combination to get in behind was great."
Scott added he was especially pleased with how the Britons were not distracted when defenders Victoria Montgomery and Kelly Wright went off the field with injuries in overtime.
Albion finished the contest with twice as many shots as Trine, 22-11, but the Britons came away empty on its dangerous scoring chances in the first half. Sarnecky had chances in the 32nd and 34th minutes, but one of them went wide of the goal and the other was stopped by Trine goalkeeper Kristina Veljovic.
Albion goalkeeper Maggie Troost collected six saves to earn her fourth shutout of the season.
Albion improved to 7-5-3 against league rivals. The Britons complete the regular season Monday, Nov. 3 with a 3 o'clock home match against Olivet College.

Urso produced her third game-winning goal of the season.
Sarnecky, who pounced on a turnover to send the ball forward, was credited with her fourth assist of the season.
Troost has not allowed a goal in her last 266 minutes on the field and she lowered her season goals against average to 1.44.
