INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Brian Fiorillo achieved his career-best performance on the national stage Wednesday when he finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle on the first day of competition in the NCAA Division III Championship.
A Southgate product who prepped at Anderson High School, Fiorillo finished 11th in the 100-yard freestyle during the 2013 NCAA meet.
Fiorillo completed his evening swim in 20.47 seconds.
He nearly qualified for the championship final. His 20.49-second morning swim was one-hundredth of a second from achieving a place in the top eight.
