ALBION, Mich. – Albion College launched a busy week of matches against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals Tuesday with a 7-2 victory over Adrian College. The Britons, now 2-0 against league rivals and 8-1 overall, travels to Alma College Wednesday to make-up a match originally scheduled for last week and to Calvin College Friday.

Albion scored its points at the top of the doubles and singles lineup. Katie Blumberg and Irene Chen, the Britons No. 1 doubles team, is 8-1 in dual matches after winning 8-4. The No. 2 doubles team – Marissa Cloutier and Heather Vogt – boasts a 9-0 record after scoring an 8-2 win.

Cloutier, Blumberg, Chen, and Vogt all won their singles contests in straight sets. Blumberg and Chen boast 9-0 records in singles, while Cloutier and Vogt improved to 8-1.
